Diagnosing a Brian Dead Patient and Organ Donation Seminar

A seminar entitled “Diagnosing a Brian Dead Patient and Organ Donation” was held in the main auditorium of the University Hospital last 07/05/1437H (13/04/2016G). The seminar was attended by the Director General of the Saudi Center for Organs Transplantation, Dr. Faisal Shaheen; Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal; Vice Dean University Hospital Director, Dr. Amro AlHibshi; and atleast 150 physicians, technicians, and also health workers. The seminar’s objectives were to educate the medical staffs and to review the protocol for diagnosing a brain dead patient and organ transplantation system.
