World Breastfeeding Day

King Abdulaziz University Hospital celebrates the World Breastfeeding Day under the slogan “Breastfeeding: A Winning Goal for Life!” under the supervision of Patient Education Unit and with the presence of the Medical Director, Dr. Sameera AlBasri; Director of General Practice Department, Dr Shadia Matbouli; and Director of Nursing, Laila Al-Tabsh, in the main entrance of the Specialty Clinics on Monday, 06/11/1435H (01/09/2014G).
The program started nine in the morning and finished by noon. The program includes educational exhibition booths that distribute leaflets and flyers to raise the awareness of the public; and also, the Patient Education Unit handed away gifts to commemorate the World Breastfeeding Day.
The program concluded with a lecture entitled “The Importance of Breastfeeding” by Dr. Munira Balahmar, head of health awareness committee and preventive medicine in primary health care.
