Aerial Medical Evacuation Simulation

King Abdulaziz University Hospital, in collaboration with King Faisal Naval Base in Jeddah, conducts Aerial Medical Evacuation simulations to a naval vessel with a disaster-like scenario.
With the approval of the University Hospital Management to conduct the simulation together with the involved authorities, the University Hospital have started working on the necessary preparations to be ready at all times. The delegation from the naval base conducted inspections on the helipad and gave recommendations on maintaining the landing zone.
The simulation had commenced on 14/01/1436H (11/10/2014G) under the supervisions of the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal; Vice Dean University Hospital Director, Dr. Amro AlHibshi; Head of Emergency Department; a squad from the naval base was present in the site to supervise the whole exercise; Head of Safety Department; Head of Security Department; Head of Maintenance and Operations; and Safety Department of the University. Also present in the program were members of the security and safety management, and field personnel form relevant departments. The simulation concluded successfully and all medical aspects were implemented systematically and in record time.
