HIV DAY CELEBRATION 2014

King Abdulaziz University Hospital, in collaboration with the Infection Control an Environmental Health Unit (ICEH), celebrated the 2014 World HIV Day with a theme “ Treat for Life, Prevent for Life” in the main lobby of the University Hospital on Monday, 09/02/1436H (01/12/2014G) from 8:30am to 10:30am.
The program was opened by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal, together with the Vice Dean University Hospital Director, Dr. Amro AlHibshi; Dr. Nabeela Al Abdullah, Assistant Professor in Clinical Epidemiology.
The activities of the program includes: Raising the awareness of the visitors regarding HIV preventive measures and treatment options; the importance of conducting pre-marital screening; and also distribution of brochures and flyers. Gifts were also distributed to the visitors at the end of the program.
