King Abdulaziz University Received Princess Astrid of Belgium For Signing of Addendum of Service Contract

Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, Representative of His Majesty the King of Belgium, visited the King Abdulaziz University, Tuesday, 17/05/1435H (18/03/2014G) HRH Princess Astrid and the Belgian delegation was received by His Excellency Prof. Osama S. Tayeb together with University representatives. The meeting was opened by His Excellency in which in his speech thanked HRH Princess Astrid and the Belgian delegation for the previous cooperation through an OPTIMA Agreement and wishing continued cooperation and success of the agreement.
Subsequently,“Optimalization of Hospital Services” agreement was signed between King Abdulaziz University and Healthcare Belgium. The agreement includes the provision of education services; research and development; provision of teleradiology support services as a prelude in establishing a Center of Excellence for Radiology Unit in the University Hospital; and to expand the scientific and academic cooperation in various fields between the University Hospital and Healthcare Belgium which represented by Mr. Herwig Fleerackers.
After signing the contract, they then transferred to the Main Auditorium of the University Hospital to attend a seminar. The seminar included the presentation of various research papers of which the presenters were Prof. Mahmoud Shaheen Al-Ahwal; Dean of Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Yasser Bahader, Head of Department of Radiology; Prof. Khaled Sait, Chair for Abdullah Basalamh of the Women's Tumors; Dr. Samia Al-Amoudi, Chair for Sheikh Mohammed Hussien Al-Amoudi Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer; and also speakers from the Belgian delegation.
