Medical Team from King Abdulaziz University Hospital Successful in Removing a 18.5kg Tumor

A medical team from King Abdulaziz University Hospital successfully removed a massive 18.5kg tumor that was been in the abdominal region (pelvis/ovary) of a citizen in its third decade of life residing in the city of Jeddah.
Prof. Khaled Hussein Wali Sait, head of the surgical team and the chair of Abdullah Basalamh of the Women's Tumors, told that the operation took two (2) hours of which the medical team managed to remove the tumor. The medical team includes Dr. Nisreen Anfinan, Dr. Asim Sebgattallah, Dr. Rania Qesti, Dr. Abdelmoneim Sayed, Dr. Ahmad Ibrahim, Dr. Eqlas Al-ebsi, Dr. Mayada Al-Basher, and anesthesiologist Dr. Mohammad Saber, and the head of the anesthesiology department, Dr. Mazen Faden.
Prof. Khaled Sait told that the patient experienced abdominal distension that lasted for three years, during which the patient suffered too much and got examined by various hospitals in Jeddah. After a month, the problem was diagnosed at the Dr. Erfan Hospital. Due to the inability to afford the surgery in private hospitals, the patient was then transferred to a hospital for women and children. From the women and children hospital, the patient was again transferred to the Ob-gyne clinic in the University Hospital where she was taken cared off, performed the necessary laboratory examinations. The patient undergone surgical intervention and it was a success. After two day after the operation, the patient was again examined and praised the God for the good operation and recovery.
