Computer Services
The Trust offers its users access to a wide variety of Information Technology applications and services based on a comprehensive and modern IT networking infrastructure. These services range from hospital administration systems to specialized clinical databases.
The Information Technology Operations team is divided into three main areas:
- Helpdesk
- Technical Support
- Networking (Networking encompasses both data and telephony requirements)
Information Technology Application Support and Training Department
The Trust has deployed a number of Information Technology solutions to support the care of patients in a number of areas, including :
- Accident and Emergency
- Maternity
- Out-patient Clinics & In-patient areas
The Information Technology Application Support and Training Department offers training in the use of these systems, as well as offering first line support should any problems arise whilst the system(s) are being used.
Microsoft Office Suite
In addition to training staff in the use of these systems the Department also provides support and training for the Microsoft Office Suite.
Web Services
The Web Services department maintains, supports, and promotes web based Information Technology systems for use throughout the Trust and the local health community. These systems include the main hospital web site, the Trust Intranet for staff use and other web-based administrative systems to support the normal business of the User.
